We slept so well in the cozy, nicely decorated rooms, and the freshly made breakfast was delicious. The local ladies who prepared it were lovely, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Conway and the team made the whole stay feel welcoming. Getting there late could have been stressful, but Conway set up a group chat before we arrived to sort out our Johannesburg airport pickup. Derrick was waiting for us, so arriving went smoothly. Conway also suggested a restaurant for the next evening, and we had a fantastic night there. Our rental car was meant to arrive at 9:00 AM the next morning but didn't show up until around midday. They let us wait in our room, which we really appreciated. It was a short stay, but a wonderful one. Thanks for the warm hospitality and excellent service!

Conway, the owner, was lovely and gave us excellent suggestions for places to visit, eat, and go. They can also arrange tours tailored to you. It's a small guest house in a good part of Johannesburg, and I highly recommend it.

The staff made us a delicious breakfast, and they were so lovely and smiley. The hosts were wonderful too, so we'd happily recommend the place. You'll need to Uber to most shops and restaurants, but rides are very cheap and efficient.

The garden is lush, the rooms are comfortable, and the area feels safe and relaxed. There's a cool, homey feel here, with wonderful staff. This place is a little jewel, and I'll definitely come back.

We started our South Africa trip with three nights at the Lucky Bean Guesthouse, travelling with our two teenage sons. It was such a peaceful, lovely beginning. We enjoyed the rooms, and the staff were incredibly kind and fantastic. Thanks again, Conway & Natasha, including for keeping our little lost whale safe ;-) One real highlight was dinner arranged for us at Sanza's Yeoville Diner Club. We also had a great tour of Soweto with Cecilia Mlangeni from Fankomo Tours (see the Lucky Bean website). She shared stories and showed us different sides of Soweto, and we liked meeting different people along the way.
