It takes about an hour to see the exhibition, but the calm atmosphere stays with you. Book ahead and let it be a quiet pause in the city. The house’s architecture adds to the peaceful feel, and the compact exhibition is thoughtfully put together. Staff keep visitor numbers low, so you can take your time moving around and actually read everything. Small, serene, and deeply personal.

The museum is informative, though the ticket felt a bit too expensive for such a small place. You need about 30 minutes to see it. This historic house has been turned into a small hotel and museum, and you can choose to stay in rooms where notable people such as Mahatma Gandhi and his colleagues once stayed. If you want food there, you need to let them know in advance.

The photos of Mahatma Gandhi and Hermann Kallenbach on the walls tell a powerful story of friendship. The house is beautifully preserved, and walking through it felt like stepping into living history. Visiting Satyagraha house was deeply inspiring. Being in the same space where Mahatma Gandhi lived and developed his thoughts on Satyagraha gave me new inspiration.

We came from Russia and were so keen to visit. I’m glad it was open to the public. The staff were really friendly, and we enjoyed talking with them. There are lots of details to learn about Gandhi’s life, and the garden is a lovely place to spend some time, with flowering trees and benches where you can relax. Thank you for this place!

The information about Gandhi was clearly laid out and easy to take in, with lovely photos of his family, friends, work, and travels. The accommodation is fairly primitive, fitting the period. It’s set in a peaceful, green place that made me feel calm straight away.
