The Parktonian All Suite Hotel

I had no issues with the staff or service, and they were very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good too. But the room was dated, though clean, with worn furniture, a TV that was outdated and wouldn't stream channels, and windows that let air in. The gym was tiny and old, with room for no more than three people and just one set of weights. I ordered dinner as room service since there were no nearby restaurants, only fast food places. I checked out the next day because this wasn't what I'd expected from a 4- or 5-star hotel. The area felt unsafe at night, and most businesses had left the Central Business District. I'm a solo female traveler, and even my Uber driver asked why I was staying there. I couldn't arrange a refund for the rest of my prepaid four-night reservation with the hotel or Booking.com. Lesson learned, I'll never prepay for rooms again. Those deals may not be worth it; get there first and pay at the end. The staff were lovely, but this seems like a hotel for locals rather than people visiting from out of town.

The food was mediocre and the menu limited, and the pool was out of order. The hotel was decent, though not as good as on my earlier stays. It has a good location, friendly and helpful staff, and large rooms that are great value.

I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the welcome was warm. The rooftop felt a bit deserted, though the view from there was lovely.

I got a lot of space for the price, with a living area, couch, desk, kitchen, balcony, and bedroom. The friendly staff, good location, strong security, and tasty food at the Orchard restaurant were all great. Housekeeping kept taking the towels without replacing them, so I had to request clean ones. The refrigerator didn't work, and they couldn't fix it or provide a replacement. Still, I'd book there again.
