I was forced to stay after paying the cancellation fees because I didn't want to lose my money. The receptionist had lied to me about those fees, and the way the front desk treated me was unlike anything I've experienced from someone in such an important staff role. The receptionist was rude and racist. I want to know what happened to South Africa's Consumer Protection Act, since it applies to guesthouses and hotels too. The place beeped all night without stopping, smelled a bit as if something was wrong with the water pipes, and the shower floor wasn't clean. It needs a proper renovation and a new drainage system. I won't stay or recommend it again, and I'll report it to the booking sites I use and do affiliate marketing for. I'm truly annoyed.

The shower is tiny, and its curtain is too short, so water runs out and I had to mop after every shower. There was no WiFi signal at all. The laundry service ad is misleading too. When I asked to have my laundry done, a staff member asked for extra cash.

It was too noisy, and the bedding smelled. They also don't tell guests that they turn off the geyser at night, so you end up bathing in cold water.

There was no hot water in the morning, and the TV in the room didn't work. When I raised these issues, the staff didn't take me seriously.

The price is okay for a stay of a few nights, but the WiFi is bad. There's no restaurant at the lodge, so you have to order in. They don't offer airport transport, even though they're so close to the airport.
