The price was alright, and the place itself is generally fine, with rooms that are reasonably maintained. But the service fell well short. The airport shuttle arrived 35 minutes late, there was no soap or other basic toiletries, and breakfast was a far cry from good.

We were left without hot water or a working kettle in the middle of winter, and we had our children with us, including a small baby. The service and food were both awful. I raised the problems with the manager, who spoke to the owner. The owner agreed to reimburse us so we could find somewhere else to stay, but a week later we still hadn’t received the money. When we called last week, they kept telling us it would be tomorrow, and now they no longer answer our calls. Booking.com has not helped me get my money back.

Breakfast needs urgent work. The daily choice is too limited, with bread, egg, a little bacon and cornflakes, and service at the serving area should be ready on time with proper warmers and serving plates. Guests should have options like fruit, cereals, yogurt, cheese and omelets. The lodge itself was wonderful. It was clean and peaceful, the staff were friendly, and I felt safe. It was a stress reliever, like a home away from home. We had a magnificent time and met lovely people from other countries. I’d recommend it for individuals, families or groups. With a better breakfast, it would be fabulous. Thanks to all the staff.

I wasn’t happy with my stay. The rooms and showers need much better cleaning and maintenance, and the owner needs to invest in the property. This place isn’t competitive. A five-star rating should be removed from the profile, it doesn’t deserve a star.
