The room and premises were just as shown in the booking photos, and everything was clean and well looked after. Dominique was a cosy room, with a hot shower with good pressure, fresh-smelling sheets and towels, and plenty of space for our two large suitcases. There was also a hairdryer, toiletries, slippers, a bathrobe, and separate sitting chairs for him and her. Alfred, whose name really suits him, and the guesthouse owner were both very hospitable. You can hear departing aircraft, so earplugs may help you sleep.

The caretaker was very friendly and told me about the guest house’s history while I waited for my client. I was there to pick him up early for his flight, and didn’t eat or stay myself. It’s an old-fashioned guest house in an ancient house with six rooms available. The pool and outdoor area looked cosy, with trees and plants around the house. It seems ideal for overseas guests.

Alfred deserves a special thank you. He’s a helpful, nice guy and an excellent manager who arranged our airport pickup and drop-off, sorted an early breakfast, and made sure we were looked after. The place is clean, well located near the airport, and the rooms have cool, very British-inspired decor.

They were so relaxed about having my cat there, which made things easy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the towels, linen, and facilities were spotless. It was peaceful too. Alfred really stood out for how kind and patient he was, especially when we had to change our booking and sort out a few urgent logistics.

We stayed one night before our flight and had a lovely time. Alfred looked after us, arranged dinner, and made a late checkout possible. The room was great, and we enjoyed the breakfast and pool while we were there.
