Lombard Villa

The grounds and architecture show how lovely this place could be with proper upkeep and professional management. Sadly, during our stay there was little hospitality or transparency. For nearly 600€ for two rooms and two nights, we expected a much higher standard and basic guest care. We had to ask for essentials like keys, WiFi details, and cooking arrangements. We were asked to change rooms without a clear explanation, and only found out after asking repeatedly that mold was the reason. William, the housekeeper, didn’t tell us this himself. We also tried calling the owner to sort things out, but our calls weren’t returned. Both rooms had visible mold and water stains. One smelled strongly of mold remover, which made it seem like the problem was already known but hadn’t been disclosed. There was no shampoo, soap, sanitary bags, or other basic bathroom supplies. The listing says the place is self-catering and there’s a kitchen, but cooking wasn’t possible. The stove had been disconnected, leaving only a microwave, and we weren’t told before arriving. The pool was dirty and nearly empty, so we couldn’t use it. The property may once have been beautiful, but it now feels run down and badly managed.
