The resident Bush Babies put on a show every night, which was a lovely bonus. There’s a hide on the property with spectacular viewing, and the host was so helpful. It’s a relaxing place with wonderful views of Crocodile River looking into Kruger National Game Park. For me, this is the best accommodation in all of Marloth Park, with the best view.

I’d never been to Kruger before, and the highlight of my 2023 was seeing the whole big5. We hadn’t realized we needed to pre-book to get into the park on December 31st, but luckily we spotted Dennis at the Marloth shop. He was more than happy to get us in and promised I’d see the whole big5. He delivered! What an awesome experience. I highly recommend them to anyone.

For a peaceful afternoon, the patio table is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the bird life, and Inge makes delicious treats, especially her Malva pudding. Dennis and Inge are super hosts with a beautiful home and are so accommodating. Their viewing deck has the best view in Martloth park !!! They’ve thought of everything to make it feel like your home. Dennis also does a very informative game drive in the Kruger park. You won’t regret staying at Bona Ngwenya, it’s simply the best !!!!

After a long day driving, we arrived in the evening to big smiles and refreshing fruit drinks from our hosts. They showed us around the house and answered our questions. Our three nights in Marloth Park were unforgettable. Inge made us feel at home and went above and beyond with homemade apple pie and ice cream sandwiches. The house is quiet and private, and the viewing tower is a perfect place to relax and watch for all kinds of animals. It’s 25 minutes from the Crocodile Bridge Gate (Kruger Park), so we’d suggest bringing your groceries rather than having to go out. Dennis is friendly and knowledgeable on his game drive. We saw four of the Big Five in a single drive, which was remarkable, and we highly recommend going with him.

We saw more game from the hide overlooking the Crocidle River into Kruger Park than we did on a full day drive through Kruger National Park. The views were spectacular, and the lodge itself was beautiful. Dennis and Inge were marvellous hosts. Inge’s spaghetti bolognaise and filled pancakes were the best I’ve had. Bona Ngwenya Lodge was an exceptional, relaxing place for a holiday, and I highly recommend it. Many thanks to Inge and Dennis for being such wonderful hosts.
