The staff made us feel at home with their warm, attentive help, and the lodge itself is comfortable, clean, and carefully put together. Set in beautiful surroundings that blend naturally with the landscape, it was wonderfully peaceful. We had a memorable stay and would happily return to Pan African Lodge.

We’re here with our two teenage children, and it’s been an incredible family trip. The wildlife around the lodge is a treat, from monkeys and impala to warthogs and mongoose. There was even a lion and leopard sighting in Marloth Park. That was exciting but a little unnerving, and the staff explained what to do if we came across them, then personally walked guests back to their rooms. We felt well looked after. We’ve gone on two morning safaris in Kruger with Louis, who knows his stuff and works hard to give everyone a great experience. We’ve booked another with him, and still have two Marloth Park sunset safaris to look forward to. Hope was great on the morning bush walk, pointing out plants, trees, and tracks and keeping us entertained with games and jokes. Elly’s Panorama Tour was beautiful. I just wish we’d had more time to explore Bourke’s Luck. The markets on the way were a nice chance to pick up souvenirs. Getting here was reassuringly straightforward. At Johannesburg airport, a Pan African Safari representative met us and escorted us to the bus station to meet our driver. After hearing about crime around the airport, I’d been concerned, but felt at ease. The drive from Joburg is long, though the driver stopped halfway so we could stretch and get food or drinks. Brenda made check-in easy and welcoming. We stayed in rooms 5 and 6. Room 6 is a roomy family space with a large double bed and bunk beds, and both rooms were clean, comfortable, and well kept. The beds were great, the air conditioning worked well, and the linen and towels were changed regularly. Each room had a large balcony, kettle and hot drink sachets, fridge, bottled water, and a complimentary bottle of bubbly. The reception team were always friendly when we returned for advice or to book activities. The two pools were clean and inviting, and there was a good range of food at meals. I’m vegetarian and had emailed ahead, so I appreciated being given specific options. My autistic son has a limited diet and wasn’t eating much. A kind kitchen staff member asked what he liked and made sure he had meals he’d enjoy for the rest of the week. That meant a lot to us. The bar staff were lovely too, and offered to carry drinks over. Modou often chatted with guests at dinner and checked that everyone was enjoying themselves, which made the place feel personal and welcoming. We can’t recommend Pan African Safari Lodge highly enough. Everything from the people and facilities to the safaris has been beyond our expectations, and we’re already looking at booking again.

Louis made our Kruger National Park safaris a real highlight. He knows so much about the animals and gave us some amazing wildlife encounters. We also loved the boat tour with Tinus. We spent four nights at Pan African Safari Lodge on a family trip through South Africa, and our expectations were exceeded. Our room had plenty of space for three, was clean and well maintained, and we felt very comfortable. The whole team was fantastic, especially Boss Modou and Lady Boss Beatrice. Thanks to everyone, with special thanks to the kitchen and wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back! ♥️

The staff were so friendly and always smiling, and we had a fantastic holiday. It’s a wonderful setting for a safari stay near Kruger National Park.

We spent four days here and would definitely recommend the lodge. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the excursions were great. You can tell Moodu and Beatrice really enjoy what they do. Louis was great on safari too, with a very good eye for spotting wild animals.
