The safari days were a real highlight. Jumari and Evan guided us, shared fascinating things about the local plants and animals, and put a lot of effort into showing us as much as they could. Of course, wildlife is unpredictable, and you can’t always see everything you hope for. That made the experience feel properly wild and authentic, and I was thrilled with it. Buffalo Thorn Lodge was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. It’s beautifully secluded, and wild animals often came right to the lodge, which made the stay feel even more special. We had a warm, lovely time with our hosts and guides, and we’ll definitely return. Thank you for everything, Jumari and Evan ❤️🐆

We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay, so every game drive felt exciting and memorable. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and knew so much about the animals and the reserve. Our accommodation was spacious, clean, and comfortable, a lovely place to unwind after time out in the bush. We had an incredible time at Buffalo Thorn Lodge and would happily recommend it.

We were lucky to have Evan and Jumari looking after us as hosts and game rangers. We saw four of the Big ‘5’ and plenty more besides, and they treated us like royalty. What an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back next year. Thank you, Ewan and Jumari!

I got to work as a private chef for a party of 8, and it was a fantastic experience. The kitchen had everything I needed, which made preparing and serving the food easy. Big thanks to Evan, Jumari, and their team for giving me the chance to shine at this 5-star establishment. Thank you!

A lovely set-up for groups. The game drives were informative, and they offered 2 x day. We were there at the end of November 2024, so hopefully they’ve had some rain since then.
