Midway Inn

I was hoping the hotel manager, Thandeka, might help sort out a serious problem involving her employee, Pinkie Makuwa. When Pinkie was burying her mother, she borrowed money from me. I helped in good faith, expecting it to be repaid, but despite many attempts to resolve things, she still hasn't paid me back. I understand this could be seen as a personal issue. Still, since Pinkie works at the establishment and management knew about it, I expected at least some professionalism, concern, or help with communication. Thandeka said clearly she wasn't willing to get involved at all. That dismissive response left me extremely disappointed and showed, to me, a lack of concern, leadership, and accountability. It makes me wonder whether management's reluctance has anything to do with staff being underpaid and struggling financially. If so, that's even more troubling. Either way, this reflects poorly on the establishment and how it responds to concerns from the public. I believe management should take matters like this more seriously and encourage honesty and accountability among employees.
