We paid a deposit of R9000 after booking in July, then cancelled that same month and asked for the deposit back minus the cancellation fee. Wilmie said she was trying to find people to occupy the place so she could refund us in full. When we called in August, she gave us the same story. In September she started ignoring our calls and didn't reply to emails. By October she said the deposit counted as the cancellation fee. Please help. We're an NPO for single unemployed mothers and need that money.

We stayed in the family room and an upstairs double. The towels were dirty and stained, and the bath mat was an old swimming towel folded up. There was mould that needs serious attention because of the toxicity and health risks, and cleanliness in general was poor. The place hadn't been properly maintained. We were so tired after a long day on the road that we stayed, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The service was great, the food was good, and the bed was comfortable.

I had a happy 3-night stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful night away in Middleburg. It's close to the CBD and mall, feels very homely, and was in good condition. The owner was very nice, and the chef made us a good breakfast.

The rooms were neat and quiet, and the family rooms had underfloor heating. We were allowed to check in at 12:30 even though our time was 14:00. Billy welcomed us so warmly and was a GREAT PERSON. We really enjoyed the superb breakfast. Thanks, Billy. See you next time.
