The garden setting is lovely, and being within walking distance of the wedding venue next door is handy. The rooms are fine for sleeping, though some are better than others. There’s no air-conditioning, and the fans and mini fridges need serious maintenance. Dressing tables could use lights for doing hair and makeup. Breakfast was simple and cold every morning, and the dining area was so dim I had to sit by a window to find a brighter spot. There’s no bar or lunch lounge either, so they should consider food options for guests who can’t drive to lunch and dinner every day. The accommodation needs some maintenance.

Oh my word, the place was dirty and dusty, and the carpets were awful. I had to ask on Saturday for my room to be cleaned, and I couldn’t understand what was going on. Molly kept saying all the rooms were full, but there was nobody in that lodge, which was the scariest thing ever. Places like this shouldn’t be on Google because they aren’t safe!

The location was good and felt safe, but I certainly won’t stay there again. The room was dusty, like it hadn’t had a proper clean in ages, and most rooms looked worn out and in need of a complete revamp. The bedding didn’t smell fresh, and some towels were dirty. We asked to have the safe fixed so we could use it, but nothing was done. Our first breakfast was terrible, with hardly anything to eat, and the chicken stir-fry looked like leftovers from the day before.

Molly and her brother are wonderful, and breakfast was great every morning. This is family-run accommodation, though the rooms need maintenance and it could use more staff. I’d have liked extra toilet paper and bottled water in the rooms. The decor is rustic, and the chickens wake you up at all hours.

We had a wonderful experience staying there on our wedding day. The rooms were spacious and lovely, the staff friendly, and breakfast was nice. The service response time, though, was very slow and seemed to depend on when it suited them. We also struggled to get our deposit back. Running a guesthouse is a business, and I think service should be prompt.
