Klein Nektar Manor

It’s a cozy cottage on a working farm, just a short walk from the shops and right in the heart of Montague. The vintage farm-style decor is lovely, there’s a nice sitting area, and it has everything you need, including comfy beds. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely be back. It’s off the grid but still has all the essentials.

My mom was moved to tears when she first saw Klein Nektar and how much love the owners have put into the house. The warm, homey feel there made our reception dinner feel so special, and it set the stage for lovely speeches and conversations. Our guests from the UK and America were deeply impressed too. A month before the wedding, our original reception venue fell through. I had this wild idea that the beautiful dining room at Klein Nektar could work for dinner with 30 people, and it turned out wonderfully. Johan, Helen, and Henk, the manager, were all fantastic and helped make our Montagu wedding possible. We’re so grateful for a space that honored our love. We can’t recommend it enough for a small getaway or even a dinner event.

We’ve stayed here twice, and spent so much time as a family on the furnished veranda, especially in the hammock. The fruit trees are there to pick from, and thoughtful touches like wine, fresh farm eggs, and rusks add to the country feel. It’s a peaceful off-grid cottage just off the R62, with everything well equipped: a gas geyser, fridge and stove, kolkol hot tub, and ceiling lights charged by solar.
