The gardens, mountains and open spaces gave our multi-family stay a restful feel. Estelle was present and hands-on as the owner, making sure our needs were taken care of, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the charming, relaxed dining area. I can imagine this location working well for a writers’ retreat or creative getaway.

Walking to some of Montegu's best restaurants for lunch or dinner was easy, and breakfast at The Vineyard Country House was a delicious start to each day. Estelle and her staff made us feel at home with their warm service. From the moment we came through the gate, the grounds and hospitality helped us relax. Our room was clean and inviting, with everything we needed: a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, guest robes and a coffee machine. There was also an outdoor area with a day bed and shower. We spent hours soaking up the sun by the inviting pool among the vines. This oasis in the heart of Montagu deserves more than 5 stars. The grounds, rooms and hospitality are second to none. Fresh, tasty breakfast in a beautiful setting made a great start to our days. Highly recommend a stay here.

The owner was incredibly caring, and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing too. We enjoyed our stay so much: everything was lovely and spotlessly clean, with clear thought put into every detail. We recommend it 120%!

We were made to feel right at home by Estelle and her team during our weekend at The Vineyard Country House. Its location is ideal, within walking distance of town. Breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared each morning, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. We highly recommend it for a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

This was our fourth visit, which probably says enough. Estelle and her staff are brilliant hosts, and the breakfasts are a real treat. A charming, wonderful stay.
