The house makes it tempting to stay in and relax, even though there's plenty to do nearby. Everything needed for a comfortable stay has been thoughtfully provided. The mountain views are beautiful at any time of day, and trails are just a stone's throw away. It's a gorgeous escape in a quiet neighbourhood, close enough to enjoy everything Montague has to offer. Can't wait to come back.

The porch out front became my favourite place to have coffee, with lovely views of the nearby nature reserve. I spotted enormous mountain tortoises, and even the canon is visible from the property. The house and town have so much to offer that I'll have to return to The Short and Lazy. It's one of the most peaceful places I've stayed. The house was neat and clean, the bedding was really comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed, fully stocked just as a woman needs it.

The scenery and peaceful feel made our two days at The Short and Lazy so relaxing. It really felt like a home away from home, and I’m already hoping to return for longer. I might have trouble making myself go home again! 😁

Those thoughtful little extras made our weekend at The Short and Lazy stand out, from board games and warm water bottles to special crockery for toddlers. The place itself was spacious, tidy, comfortable and well equipped. I enjoyed staying with friends so much that I’ve already booked another weekend, this time with family. See you soon!

Months later, I still remember our stay at the Short and Lazy. James was a wonderful host, and the house was a little gem. Montagu is a beautiful town too. I’d love to do it all again and bring my family along.
