Montagu is such a lovely, friendly town, and we really enjoyed our three-day family stay with four of us. The place was beautifully set up with everything we needed. The fireplace worked really well on the cold winter nights.

The porch was a great place to cool off and take in the views, with comfy outdoor furniture. When it got too hot, we could dunk in the splash pool. Inside, the open-plan kitchen had all the amenities we needed, plus a breakfast nook. There was also a lounge with a comfy sleeper couch and DSTV, a fireplace, and a dining area for four. The bedrooms were nice and had plenty of cupboard space. A peaceful setting with great mountain views, and an amazing stay all round.

The views were gorgeous, and the rondavel was stocked with everything we could need. It’s one of the loveliest homes we’ve stayed in, and we’ll definitely come back.

We felt safe at night with the alarm, and the fireplace kept the living room cosy on both evenings. The place was clean, tidy and fully equipped, so we only needed to bring food and drinks. It’s close to the mountain, with beautiful views, and has Wi-Fi and DSTV. Montagu itself is lovely too, with old architecture and plenty of restaurants. A quiet weekend away from the rat race was just what we needed to recharge.

The rooms have no ceilings, so if someone sleeps noisily, the others can hear it. Otherwise, it’s a great place.
