Kings Camp Private Game Reserve

Jess, our guide, and Donald, our tracker, were phenomenal. We saw white lion cubs, leopard, rhinos, tons of elephants and giraffes. The rooms were gorgeous, with outdoor showers and plunge pools in many of them, and the food was excellent. My family is gluten free and I’m vegetarian, and the staff did a fantastic job meeting our needs. They were incredibly friendly throughout. Absolutely awesome experience!

Julia was our guide and Ronald our tracker, and they were both knowledgeable and wonderful. We did eight drives, each special in its own way, and Julia went out of her way to help us see everything we wanted. There were baby lion cubs and baby hippos, herds of buffalo, elephants, impala and zebra, plus hyenas feasting on a kudu and a leopard eating an impala. What an unreal safari. I’ve never been so excited to get up at 5am. Kings Camp was our choice for our first safari, and we’re so happy we went. From start to finish, it exceeded our expectations and felt like a luxurious five star experience. The lodge was gorgeous, the honeymoon suite beautiful, and everything seemed carefully thought out. Every staff member was kind, smiling and attentive, and the food was impressive with amazing choices. I’m still at a loss for words. I was emotional leaving on our last morning. Thank you to everyone at Kings Camp for a trip we’ll never forget. Absolutely recommend it, and we can’t wait to return!

Over five days, the Kings Camp team took such thoughtful care of us that they came to feel like friends and family. If you have allergies or food preferences, they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, and their kindness and attention put me at ease. The surprises along the way were amazing. I didn’t know hospitality could reach this level. Our ranger, Neil, and tracker, Donald, were a joy. Their knowledge and passion made each drive memorable, and they always went the extra mile to get us the best views. Watching the stars with them on our final evening drive is something I’ll treasure. My stay felt incredible and life-changing, and I’m still struggling to find the words for it. The care put into every moment of every day was astonishing. I left with tears in my eyes and a full heart, and can’t wait to return. Kings Camp is one of the most extraordinary places I’ve been. We’ve had wonderful experiences at this lodge and seen the big 5+ on visits in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. We’re looking forward to another great stay when we visit in July 2026. We highly recommend the lodge to anyone, especially lovers! 😉
