Our holiday plans were completely thrown off when they cancelled our booking only three weeks before the trip. We had reserved and paid two months ahead, so finding somewhere else during the festive season, when other places were full, caused enormous stress. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for guests was unacceptable. I’d give this place zero stars if I could. Avoid booking here.

The room was lovely, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The bathroom was large and beautiful too. Dudok house has tasteful decor, well worth seeing in its own right. It’s also a great base for Oudshoorn and the surrounding area, with restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The host was fabulous, helpful, and knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make us comfortable.

Oscar made us feel at home from the warm welcome onward. He was a fantastic host, pointing us toward some good restaurants and a few unusual spots around Oudtshoorn. The rooms were more than spacious, and I loved the decor and the little doggie. Staying at Dudok House was one of the highlights of my South Africa trip. Really enjoyable, and I’d recommend spending a night there.

We slept so well, that bed is one you wish you could have every day. The place is decorated beautifully and feels really comfortable. The owner was kind and pointed us to a very good restaurant. Breakfast was great, and the dog was lovely too. We’d happily recommend staying here.
