Babylonstoren

We loved our 3 nights in the Fynbos Cottages. The whole property is lovely to explore, and Babel restaurant was great. We also really enjoyed the hotel's tour to the water buffalo farm. Such an amazing place, highly recommend it for families with kids too.

Babylonstoren was our favourite stay during our Cape Town honeymoon. The gardens and architecture make the whole property feel magical, with a peaceful atmosphere that's hard to explain. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, with thoughtful details, and we loved waking up to the views and wandering through the gardens each morning. Every meal was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and served with lovely presentation. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome while respecting our privacy. Everything felt relaxed and smooth, just right for a honeymoon. Luxury, nature, and comfort all come together here. We'd love to return, especially if you're a couple looking for a memorable stay.

I've visited twice, in 2018 and 2023, and it's great seeing how much has changed. The coffee and roast spot used to be storage, and now it's a fully equipped cafe with a bad-ass espresso machine and a capable barista. I'm keen to see it again in a couple more years. This is one of the few places in my life that's made me say wow. The atmosphere is peaceful but still busy, charming yet edgy. You can feel the love, dedication, and creativity behind the phenomenal venue, and the stunning surroundings add to it. We tried the 5 wine selection, though I found the wines a bit dull, especially the snacks.

I only saw the “farm,” not the hotel. If Disneyland is your thing, you'll probably love Babylonstoren, though there's no ride. The staff seemed completely unbothered, and the whole place felt fake and unauthentic. Influencers would probably feel right at home.
