After a two-week work trip, I spent one night at this family-owned estate and wished I’d stayed longer. The family made me feel like one of their own, even during my short visit. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the grounds immaculate and tranquil, and the room lovely, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, and the wine was delicious too. There’s a cute kids’ playground, and a highly rated Japanese fusion restaurant right next door that I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s also well placed for visiting vineyards around Paarl or walking around Paarl Nature Reserve. I’d recommend it for a quiet, quaint getaway.

We got married at Vendome and spent the night in the guest house. It’s been renovated beautifully, keeping its old charm and rich history while adding a modern feel. The location is right in town but away from the noise. Thanks, Le Roux Family.

We only had time for a wine tasting, but each wine we tried was even better than the one before. Our waiter was sharp, efficient and knowledgeable. The place still felt warm despite the very professional service. An absolute gem, and I’ll have to come back.

We’d enjoyed lunch at Vendôme before, then recently celebrated our wedding there. The views are amazing, the food was perfect, and none of our guests had a complaint. The staff went above and beyond, and the catering team handled everyone’s dietary requirements while working flexibly with our budget. A special thank you to Marissa, who was there whenever we needed her, from our first enquiry through to the last song of the night. A 10/10 experience.

A relaxed, down to earth café that’s great for a casual family visit with the kids. We only had drinks, so I’ll try the food next time. It may not suit a gourmet meal or a romantic outing, but it’s a lovely little family spot.
