When we came back from our day out, the cleaning lady had only made the beds. There’d been no sweeping, no dishes washed, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. We also found there was no remote for the main air-conditioner in the lounge. A lady who had lived in the guest house before told us it wasn’t working at all. It was December in Cape Town, hot summer weather, and the temperature reading that day was 32D celcios. How can you rent out accommodation when the essentials aren’t working? 🧐

The grounds were beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the patio. Our hosts were welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was just right. We had an incredible weekend at 5 Konings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

The pool and gardens are beautiful, and there’s free parking on the premises. The owner was always available, professional, helpful, and very accommodating. It’s a safe area and the accommodation felt safe too. The place is tranquil and quiet, immaculate, super clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the luxuries included. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and lounge for guests to use. Excellent value for money, with the same standard as, if not better than, more expensive places in Paarl. Thank you to the host and owner. I appreciate it and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Rachelle and her staff were helpful and supportive, and treated us well. It’s a clean, calm, quiet, well-maintained place with a homely welcome. I enjoyed my three-day business trip stay here. I’d suggest it to families looking for a peaceful atmosphere.
