The breakfast was really tasty, and the servings were plenty. We stayed in the upstairs room for four, which had everything we needed, including the bonus of air conditioning. One of the nicest places we stayed. We’d definitely come back.

Arthur went out of his way to help me refuel and get back to the Piet Retief airport. I’d landed in Piet Retief unexpectedly in my light aircraft because a storm was coming, and managed to book LA Guest House at the last minute. The owners and staff were kind and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and breakfast was delicious. A lovely experience, see you again soon!

The kids loved wandering around the peaceful gardens, and Lynette made us feel right at home. On our way from Durban to Kruger, we stopped here last minute because the drive felt too long with our two little ones, aged 4 and 7. On the way up, Lynette arranged an extra mattress in a three-bed garden room so all four of us could sleep there. We came back on the return trip and booked the upstairs suite with a balcony. Both stays were clean and very comfortable. Thanks for having us, we’ll choose LA Guesthouse from now on.

There was some intrusive truck noise at times, with traffic passing north through Piet Retief. Otherwise, we had an easy arrival, a lovely garden and a comfortable stay. Our host was warm and made sure we were comfortable and well fed. Breakfast was excellent, and I had what I needed. I’d recommend the place.
