After a long drive from Jozi, I stopped at Kwalala Lodge to join a virtual meeting and have coffee. I’d been there for a meeting before, and this time I was short on time and needed to get online urgently. The lady in charge said I’d have to pay R1000 to use the facility for the meeting, even though I planned to buy drinks. She wouldn’t even let me park and take the meeting from my car. I was stunned by the experience, so I drove to Jozini Country Lodge instead, where I could have my meeting and a meal without being questioned.

We spent about three weeks at Kwalala Lodge, me and two colleagues, and had a great time. The food was great, the service was very good, and the rooms were comfortable. The lodge has a beautiful view and a great location. The owners and staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Thanks for the stay. I’ll definitely come back when I need to stay in Nacala.

I’ve stayed here a few times and never had any problems. The food is amazing, and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The owners and Comfort, who works there, are really friendly and accommodating, always happy to help. I’ll keep coming back.

The courtyard pool was sparkling and well kept, and the meals were prepared beautifully. My room was attractive and well equipped, with complimentary OBC as a nice extra. The manager and staff were friendly and made a point of seeing to each guest’s needs. In a country where customer service concerns so many people, Kwalala Lodge goes beyond the average to keep guests comfortable and cared for. Give it a try if you want a good night’s rest and welcoming service.

We had a very good dinner at the restaurant, and the staff were really nice. The rooms aren’t very large, but the bed is comfortable. A good option for a night’s stay if you’re heading to Saint Lucia.
