Die Woestynroos Gastehuis

This was the worst place I've ever seen. We honestly thought it was staff accommodation, and it looked nothing like the photos. Saying it's winter doesn't explain an extremely neglected property with cracked walls. It felt like a shack. If I could give it a minus-minus rating, I would.

We felt right at home thanks to the wonderful hosts, and the place was clean, neat, and very romantic. I live in the UK and came with my partner to visit relatives. My Italian partner had a lovely traditional experience, and we enjoyed our stay so much that we've booked again for August. Thank you so much.

Anouk was such a kind, helpful host. We were greeted with Champagne, chocolates, and even some shere, which was a lovely touch since we'd just gotten engaged. The room was clean and had a big, comfortable bed. It's a relaxing, rustic farm stay just outside town, and for the price it was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend it.

At ZAR 650 a night, this place is ridiculous. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, with ants everywhere. The bed was wooden planks with only a thin mattress, and the bathroom was tiny, dark, and dirty. The shower was corrugated iron with a broken showerhead. There was no fan, just one power point, and the extension cables didn't work. I would absolutely not recommend it.
