At least the Wi-Fi was free, but I felt R550 per night was far too much for a place that was just somewhere to sleep. We were exhausted after travelling a long way, so we stayed, though otherwise we would have left. There were no dry towels, and the room's aircon didn't work in the cold. The heater they brought was damaged, with a broken switch, so both bars came on together. The free satellite TV didn't work either, and there was no bottled filtered water. I had to ask for a teaspoon for coffee, then buy our own coffee and filtered water. We ended up with sweetened Capucino sticks. The microwave was so dirty we used it only because there was no other option. At night the staff and other tenants talked and laughed so loudly we couldn't sleep. I wouldn't recommend this to any civilised person. I can't believe it's listed on Booking.com and other travel sites. There's a sign by the parking entrance calling it a 4-star establishment. I believe they bought it somewhere.

The room we were given was filthy, and it wasn't the one we'd applied for. The advertised rooms look beautiful, but I think those are old photos because ours looked nothing like them. Wi-Fi was listed, yet when I called for the password, I was told it wasn't working. Why wasn't that mentioned when we arrived? The shower head had to be held by hand. Staff weren't friendly, and the little kitchenette had two cups but no teaspoons, plates, or cutlery. The cupboards and drawers were empty. I've stayed in bad guesthouses before, but this was the worst by far. Please read the reviews before booking so you don't make my mistake. I don't know how this place is still operating. The photos speak for themselves.

We looked at the room and left. It's unfit to stay in, and you might catch something there. Avoid it like the plague.

DO NOT BOOK!!! We weren't allowed to see any rooms before paying. The two receptionists weren't even wearing shoes, one was lying on the table while the other braided her hair. Once we'd paid, they took us to a room that didn't meet the advertised standard. The aircons were visibly dismantled and didn't work, the TV was broken, and there was no Wi-Fi on the premises. Dust covered the room and it smelled moldy. When we complained, the manager wouldn't answer the phone or help with a refund. The reception staff just ignored us and said they were only workers and couldn't assist with a refund, so we'd have to stay. This place doesn't even deserve the 1 star I had to give to post this review.
