The room was small but clean, with a comfortable bed. It was comfortable overall, though the appliance lights were all red, and all the staff were polite and professional. We did enjoy the stay, and the food was healthy and delicious once they figured something out for my dietary needs after I complained. I’d booked a month ahead and had already asked about special dietary requirements, so it was very unprofessional to be told at reception that they’d only just seen the note and had no time to prepare special meals. There was also confusion about payment. The online booking email said we were paid in full, but reception asked us to check our banking app to prove we hadn’t paid. Apparently the website doesn’t take money from the account. Poor communication around that was frustrating on a budget.

I travel solo, and both the location and the place are perfect for me. It feels safe and secure. I've stayed a few times and have always had a warm, friendly, polite experience. Seeing familiar staff faces is lovely, too. The staff are amazing 😊

The rooms have plenty of equipment and the service is good, though a multiplug would be a useful extra. On a recent business trip from Cape Town, I reported a problem with my shower and was told someone would fix it while I was at meetings. I came back and nothing had been done. The Wi-Fi is dismal, barely connecting at all. If you need internet to work, don’t expect to sit in your room. You’ll have to work somewhere else, and be ready to buy extra data if you want to use your phone as a hotspot.

The staff were wonderful during my stay, and the location was alright. I felt safe until one evening, when I was returning from dinner alone. The security guard who checks your driving licence and scans the licence disc asked me for money for transport. I reported it, but after that I no longer felt safe. I did wonder if he asked because I was a woman on my own.
