We booked three rooms for three nights, but didn’t stay at all because the hotel wasn’t as advertised. The locks didn’t feel secure, the safety deposit boxes were loose in the wardrobes, the air conditioning didn’t work, the rooms were very tatty, and the pool was filthy. Staff told us to contact the manager after we complained, but we still haven’t had a response. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute and are now out of pocket while trying to get a refund through booking. Com. The stress has given me a migraine and affected our holiday.

There was a frog in my room and lots of spider webs. Only the part you can see with your eyes was clean. The food wasn’t ready on time either. The location is terrible, with a detour road before you reach it.

After a horrible stay at another guesthouse, we had to book at the last minute, and Thaba Legae gave us a warm welcome and accommodated us. The room was clean and the refreshments were restocked. Everyone, including the chef and security staff, went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Since we had to leave early for a wedding on Saturday morning, the chef even prepared takeaways for us. Her food felt like a story told with love, and I had to meet her the next day. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful stay.

The rooms felt luxurious inside, and the food and staff were great. It’s a bit far from town, though, and the outside grounds need work. The exterior doesn’t look very attractive.
