Our room at Salt Rock Manor was small, cramped and very hot, with no working fan or air conditioning to make it comfortable. The ceiling fan placement meant the closet could barely open, and there was hardly any room for luggage or clothes. The place is described as self-catering, but the room and facilities aren’t really set up for that. I booked through Booking.com, and the stay didn’t match the listing. It felt overpriced for what was offered, with limited parking. The pool is listed as an amenity but is for the owners’ private use unless you arrange access in advance, which wasn’t made clear. Check the details carefully before booking. I felt the property was misrepresented and fell short of what I expected.

A lovely, clean little place near the beach. The host was so nice to us, left coffee, milk and an umbrella, and was quick with the service.

After a long intercontinental flight, this was a cosy, well-equipped place to rest for the night, close to Durban airport. Kim was a very friendly hostess who made us comfortable. The property is well kept and well worth a stay if you're in the area.

Kim was super friendly and helped make my boyfriend’s birthday special. Even at the last minute, she helped me put together a small surprise so he’d feel like he was still at home with me. It’s those little things that mean a lot. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in town. Five stars from me!
