We came back to 7 Ackermann a few years after our first stay, and both visits were wonderful. The hosts are warm and friendly, and the guesthouse feels cozy and welcoming. The host has a grandmotherly charm and is always happy to share helpful advice, from where to eat to which streets to avoid. Stellenbosch centre is an easy walk away, with shops and restaurants nearby, and there are beautiful hiking trails around the area.

Lettie was so helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. She arranged our laundry and let us keep our bicycles in a room for the whole stay. The rooms were thoughtfully designed, well serviced, and had everything we needed for a few days in Stellies. The kitchenette was great and the internet worked well. The pool was especially welcome when it was 36°.

We could walk into town and enjoy the beauty of Stellenbosch, which made this a lovely place to stop over. Corrie went out of her way to make room for our family of six. The rooms were spotless, with lovely linen and towels, and there was complimentary water and swimming towels. In the heat, the pool was a real treat, and we could do our washing too.

The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with self-catering facilities, and the host was extremely friendly with excellent service. It’s also well placed for an easy, safe walk to the restaurants and other spots.

Only about a 10-minute walk from Stellenbosch Central, and the rooms are clean, cozy and roomy enough. The older couple hosting the place were so friendly and clearly cared about their guests. We could use the washing machine and dryer too. Great accommodation!
