The pool area felt peaceful throughout our six nights, since there are only three lodges beside the huge pool and it never got crowded. From our lodge we had a marvellous view across the water and out to nature, and breakfast was high quality too. Jaqueline was an incredibly hospitable host, and her husband gave us a great tour of the wine cellar. A big thank you to them both. Stellenbosch is about a 10-minute drive away. We’d recommend staying here 100% if you’re after peace and quiet.

The owner was so friendly and talked us through the wines with real passion. The vineyard scenery and views were beautiful, and I liked the wine so much I bought two bottles as soon as the tasting ended. A fantastic experience, highly recommend!

We stopped in for a wine tasting the other day. The staff were super friendly, though I think we arrived just before closing. When we tried to leave, they’d forgotten to open the gate and nobody answered the intercom. Luckily, after waiting a while, we spotted a guard when we drove back up.

My husband and I went for a tasting, and the wines were delicious. The tasting assistant wasn’t very engaging, but we had an interesting conversation with the manager.

We popped in spontaneously and didn’t regret it. This “hidden” gem is so beautiful, and there were two owls sitting in a tree on the deck, so keep an eye out for them. There are four tasting options: Chardonnay, Pinotage Rose, Estate Pinotage and Syrah. Pinotage Rose was my favourite, which isn’t usually the case for me. We couldn’t taste it, but we left with two bottles of Chenin Blanc.
