The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. We loved our two nights at De Hoek in November, and I'd come back without hesitation. Ilizebet and the other staff gave us memorable greetings and service, while the rooms were spacious and stylish. The selection at breakfast tasted great, had good variety, and was nicely presented. I'm very fussy about breakfast, and the location was perfect for a few days of winery hopping.

The location is second to none, with loads of excellent restaurants and bars nearby. We ate Eland and Ostrich at Hassar Grill. The Ostrich was delicious, and I'd recommend it. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, with both a bathtub and walk-in shower, and the water pressure was unreal in a good way. One note: the Manor is across from a church whose bell rings on the hour and half hour. I'm a light sleeper and heard it a couple of times, but my partner slept through it.

Breakfast was delicious, and our room was spotless and cozy, with little comforts that made us feel at home. But the kindness and genuine hospitality are what we'll remember most. Ilzebet went above and beyond from the moment we arrived, thinking of every detail and handling each request with a smile. Her warmth made it feel like staying with a friend. De Hoek Manor is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located in Stellenbosch. Our two-night stay was better than we could have asked for, and we left with wonderful memories. Thank you, Ilzebet, for making it so special. We can't wait to return.

Ilzebet made sure we got safely into the hotel and our room when we arrived straight from the airport at 11.30pm. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the location is perfect, and breakfast was excellent. We had the loveliest two-night stay. Thanks for such a lovely start to our trip!
