The location is nice and the rooms are cute, but the service felt quite transactional. We returned from dinner around 11pm to find the parking lot full, so we had to park on the street. That was frustrating, especially because the hotel strongly advertises safe guest parking. I couldn’t find anyone at reception then, either, which made for poor service recovery.

The clean linen and towels smelled fresh, and the mountain views were lovely. Everyone made us feel welcome from the start, with a big smile and a warm greeting at Evergreen Manor and Spa. The front of house manager and the rest of the staff were professional and delightful. Clayton gave us a detailed tour and explained everything, so thanks to him. Keep the place vibey and keep it up!

The sherry welcome drink was a lovely touch, especially as it was my first time trying one. The hotel felt safe and was centrally located, and the staff were helpful.

I loved the antique bath, and there was a shower too. The guesthouse is set in a peaceful spot, with beautiful rooms and a team that takes care of the small things, including tasty breakfasts and nighttime turndown service. A short walk past a quiet park gets you to lots of trendy restaurants. Thanks to the Evergreen Manor team for a great stay!

I slept badly, and I wondered whether the tightly shut windows during turndown might have been part of the reason, perhaps they were closed for security. For a small, pricey hotel, the value didn’t feel right. There was no shampoo or body lotion in the bath tray, just generic soap, and the shower soap tray was broken. Internet was intermittent, too. The toilet door handles wouldn’t turn, so I had to wrestle the cubicle door open to get out. These are small issues that could be fixed easily, and at this price they should do better.
