Jane had some lovely breakfast essentials ready, which we enjoyed before taking a dip in the pool. Jane, Clement and his wife were all kind and helpful, and Rafa, Jane’s dog, kept us company on a few days. The Glasshouse is beautiful and somehow brings together comfort, quiet, a great location and a luxurious feel. It reminded me of a hidden gem in Bali. Truly stunning, and I can’t recommend staying here enough. It felt like magic.

We wished we’d booked more nights as soon as we arrived. The Glasshouse has everything you could need, and it’s charming, beautiful and well placed in the Stellenbosch valley, with local wine estates just a quick trip away. Jane was helpful and accommodating, and her communication was excellent from the start. It was the best night of our honeymoon. If you’re in the area, just book it!

We had a perfect three days, even though the weather kept us from using the pool. The single-room bungalow feels cozy in winter, summer and everything between. The Glashouse is a steel-framed place tucked into a jungle-like valley among the wine estates, with glass from roof to floor. You can tell you chose well before you even step inside.

We spent four nights in the Glasshouse this October while attending a nearby wedding. It was quiet and private, with the basics we needed, and made for a special place to stay. Jane, her staff and her friendly dog clearly help make it that way. We were busy in Stellenbosch, but a highlight I’ll remember for a long time was lounging by the pool in dappled light, watching seeds drift through the air. A majestic, rural experience.

Jane was a fantastic host. The glass cottage is lovely and has the feel of a little forest in another country. We didn’t have enough time to enjoy the cottage or pool for long, but I’d love to come back someday.
