Villa Grande Guesthouse

We really enjoyed our stay at this stylish bed and breakfast. It’s in a quiet residential area, within walking distance of the botanical gardens and city centre. The service was friendly and just right, especially from Lisie. We’d love to come back.

The house is in a good location, and the people were friendly and accommodating. A few service details need attention, though: the fridge didn’t work properly, and there was no shampoo in the bathrooms.

The stay itself was peaceful and great, and the reception staff, breakfast cooks, and room cleaners deserve a 5 from me. My 3 rating is for management, Dewald Victor. He was very bad at communicating by email, so I had to keep calling, and he was also very difficult to reach. When I did get through, he was abrupt and not very approachable. Many thanks to the staff ladies.

We had a wonderful two weeks at Villa Grande, with warm five-star service. Breakfast was very nice, and the rooms were cleaned spectacularly every day, with excellent attention to detail. Villa Grande is in central Stellenbosch, within walking distance of many great restaurants. There are more than a hundred wine estates within a 30 km radius. It’s hard to imagine finding better value for money in Stellenbosch and the surrounding area. I’d recommend it to anyone.
