Diggersrest Lodge

The view was incredible, and the place is stunning and beautifully looked after. I slept so peacefully. I came with a friend and her four-year-old daughter, and everyone was kind and patient with her energy. Before we arrived, West sent the directions and other information we needed, and gave us a much-appreciated free upgrade. Communication was excellent the whole time, and West took care of every little request. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you, I hope to visit again someday!

We had car trouble on our most recent visit this past weekend, and the host went above and beyond to help. They made us feel like family and gave us peace of mind. That kind of care beyond standard good service is rare. We’ve visited this beautiful place a few times this year, and every stay has been spectacular. The hosts and staff are wonderful, and the views are breathtaking. We’ll be back again and again, bring more friends, and recommend it to anyone wanting a getaway to clear their mind and enjoy the scenery. Thank you again for everything.

The cottage had everything working, with clean, comfortable beds, fireplace wood provided, and fans, including ceiling fans, for the hot days. It really does get hot most days. The host was a star, caring, accommodating, and making sure we were comfortable. It’s a treasure tucked into the mountains, with breathtaking views over tzaneen and magoebaskloof. Mornings brought mist rolling through the property like a Harry Potter movie; days were clear and sunny with the occasional rain, and evenings were cool, with fresh nature scents in the breeze. I’d definitely book again. I doubt you’ll find more beautiful accommodation or views. South Africa needs more places like this, and I hope this one stays for years.

Lovely place with a great view and a very central location. I’d suggest using a 4x4 in this area.
