A week before our cricket tour, we found out the guesthouse had double booked us and wouldn't honor the booking. I'd spent months arranging accommodation with the manager for 12 families, and we'd emailed repeatedly to confirm before trying to finalize payment. There was no reply. Calls and messages went unanswered too, until I finally reached the owner. The families had to scramble to keep our already paid for tour going. I'm extremely disappointed. They aren't dependable, and when you need help they stop answering. I wouldn't recommend this guesthouse.

It isn't a modern house, but the comfort and attention to detail cover what you need. The beds are great, everything was clean, and the location is brilliant. Bob was a wonderful host. The house dates back to 1908, and I'd definitely come back.

Bob and the staff were fantastic, and I really enjoyed staying here. Seeing the monkeys up close was an absolute delight. I'll be back for sure.

We planned this long weekend on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant, budget friendly trip. Bob, the owner, is kind and enjoys a good chat. The staff were friendly and quick to help, and breakfast was good and served promptly. A few ketchup and Tabasco bottles were left empty instead of being refilled, an easy housekeeping fix. Our room was clean and well serviced, though the closet space could have been better and some lights needed changing. All in all, we had a good stay.

I wouldn't call this a great place to stay. The showers had mould, the place wasn't very clean, and the water was cold in the mornings. The owner didn't seem able to manage the faulty Geyserwise properly. It was listed as a 3 star place, but I'd say it should probably be one star. I saw no renovations happening while I was there, or any signs of work underway.
