Veldrift is a must if you want to feel the true spirit of the Wes Kus. Chartwell House Port Owen is a stunning B&B, clean as a whistle, with amazing breakfasts and a relaxed atmosphere. Jeff and Melanie hosted us graciously and made it feel like a real home away from home, with the touch of luxury we look for when travelling. I’d absolutely recommend it for a holiday or a business stay.

The gardens were a pleasure to look at, manicured and pristine, especially considering the area. Chartwell House is a magnificent guest house, a real home away from home with all the bells and whistles. Melanie and Jeff were friendly, helpful and so accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and memorable experience. Their hospitality and attention to detail were top notch. Breakfasts were more than hearty, freshly made, tasty and beautifully presented, with a great variety.

Port Owen is a stunning place, and Chartwell House is a beautiful home. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. Melanie made the most amazing breakfasts and was attentive, flexible and happy to accommodate us. She and Jeff were such a warm, welcoming couple and went the extra mile to make our stay special. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

We spent six nights here, and Jeff and Melanie were a blessing as hosts. We’d go to bed late, yet every morning we were greeted by friendly faces and an awesome breakfast. I’d recommend this lovely place to anyone needing a break from busy city life. We arrived late from the airport, and Melanie and Jeff waited until we were safely home. They welcomed us warmly, were friendly and helpful, and gave us food and coffee. I fell in love with the place. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Looking out over the water at Admiral Island was amazing. The rooms had everything you’d need and were well equipped. We had an awesome experience at Chartwell House, with great service, and Jef and Mel made us feel right at home. I’d definitely recommend their guesthouse.
