Paddy even showed me around the solar field, which I appreciated. We had a wonderful one-night stay at UmSisi House with my wife and another couple. Amanda and Paddy welcomed us like old friends, and their Boxer dog won me over straight away. They took great care of us, and Paddy made a dinner that could hold its own against the finest restaurant. Breakfast was just as satisfying. The villa sits on lovely grounds with an impressive view, and the room and house are furnished with charm and care. We highly recommend the whole experience, no ifs or buts. Paddy, Martina is still waiting for that pulled pork recipe! 😉

Kruger National park is close by, making Umsisi House a handy base for exploring this beautiful part of South Africa. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent, and the place was comfortable and very clean. We were there with our kids, and the garden was beautiful. Paddy shared his love of plants and nature, while Amanda and I had great conversations about all sorts of things. From arrival, we felt at home. Our first trip to South Africa was made even more memorable by our hosts' warm welcome and the professional staff. Thank you, Amanda and Paddy, for being part of our wonderful memories of Africa.

We stayed for over two weeks and loved it. The cottage is secure and close to Kruger Park's Numbi gate. You can watch abundant birdlife from the covered deck, which was especially lovely on a rainy day. Paddy and Amanda are friendly and attentive hosts, and Sunday and Ester, who clean the cottage daily, are an absolute pleasure.

Paddy and Amanda made our holiday at Umsisi House amazing. The lodge is stunning, the food is delicious, and they go out of their way to make the stay one to remember. I can't recommend staying with them highly enough.

The hosts are warm and make you feel at home, and the cottage has DSTV. We spent our evenings on the deck instead, enjoying the Lowveld air with a glass of wine and watching vervet monkeys play in the garden. The place has two bedrooms, a living room, dining table and kitchen, with all the amenities we needed. The accommodation was comfortable, and the large bathroom had a good shower.
