The animals wandering around were a real highlight, especially the pigs coming over to greet us. We also loved waking up to that ocean view from the cosy cabins, and the shared kitchen made breakfast easy. It’s a lovely spot in the hills above Wilderness, and a very affordable option for a short stay. We’d booked a small cabin with a shared bathroom, but the shower stopped working. The owner tried to sort it out and kindly moved us to a cabin with its own bathroom at no extra cost. Inside, a few things could work better: the doors were very stiff, some lights didn’t work, and the blinds didn’t block the morning sun. Our first cabin also had no plugs for charging laptops.

We only stayed one night while travelling through, but could easily have stayed longer. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and Sasha and Darryl deserve a shout-out for their hospitality. The view was the star during the day. In the evening, we liked adjusting the smart light in our queen room, then settling into the comfy camp chairs to watch the sunset with a drink. The outdoor shower was a nice touch too. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen and lounge for taking in the view, plus a braai area that would be great for a group around the fire.

Compact and cute, with everything we needed, and a very reasonable price. The setting felt peaceful and well cared for, with spectacular scenery. It was secluded enough to relax but still easy to get to. We loved our three days there, and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. One of the best deals in Wilderness.
