Wilderness Beach Resort

We had a quiet stay in a safe area with a very friendly host. The beach is almost directly accessible, though there's a long flight of stairs, as there is everywhere. Our evening walk to Salinas was a highlight, about 5km along the beach. Getting back at night proved harder than expected because there were no Uber/Bolt cars around, but some friendly people leaving the restaurant gave us a lift. The bathroom felt a little small for two, though the location made up for it.

It's a stunning location and a hotel I'd definitely visit again. There aren't any other restaurants nearby, so you'd need to drive or eat in.

The beach below the accommodation is beautiful and worth the walk down the steep stairs. Our room was clean and lovely, with a great beach view from the shared balcony. The owners were friendly and helpful, answering our questions about activities and suggesting places to visit. We both enjoyed breakfast and the view from the dining room. Had a great stay and would love to return.

We chose this place for convenience for our two businesses, but we won't return. Newton, the caretaker and manager, was hostile and extremely rude. He even refused our CEO entry because we arrived 15 minutes early. Our Black and African female staff felt intimidated by his aggressive behavior and his half-dressed appearance. He tried to keep us out of the property and our room while apparently drunk. The owner should take responsibility for the staff, teach them modern hospitality, or replace them.
