The food is great, but the phone lines in the room need fixing and the TV keeps flickering. Paul Phiri was a real highlight at Southern Sun. He was friendly, approachable, and professional, and made the best cocktails in Zambia. We especially enjoyed the Cosmopolitan and Apple Martini. Highly recommend him!

The buffet at the restaurant was especially good, with fresh food that was right on point. Jackson gave us wonderful service and made sure everything was okay. I’ve had the pleasure of being served by him three times now. He’s great, thank you so much.

The pond outside is a comfortable, pleasant spot for a drink or a business meeting, and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. Special thanks to Dalitso, one of the waiters, who was an exceptional host.

I’ve been staying at Southern Sun since 2015, and every visit feels like coming home. It’s my go-to in Lusaka and one of my favorite hotels in Africa. The staff are wonderful and really make the place. The rooms, gym, and pool are all great, and the restaurant is a relaxing place with great food. I’m looking forward to coming back to my family at Southern Sun in the years ahead.

We had such a good weekend at Southern Sun Ridgeway. The receptionists were friendly and helpful, housekeeping kept our room spotless, and the maintenance staff even helped us fish our son’s dummy out of the pond. A big thank you to everyone in the restaurant, especially Dyness, Catherine, Jack and John. They were kind and friendly with our son, helped adjust orders to make them more kid friendly, and the food was exemplary every time. Huge thanks to the chefs too. The service was spectacular, and everyone helped make our family getaway feel perfect. A small kids’ menu would make it an even better family hotel.
