My day was already packed with meetings, and losing running water overnight meant I showed up in worse shape than when I arrived. The taps and toilet both had no water. I’d booked and paid three days ahead, during a busy spell when soccer fans were in town for an important Zambia qualifier. Power also went off around 22hrs, so I was working in the dark with no aircon. Opening the windows only let in plenty of mosquitoes. At least the lodge is near some good fast food. Maybe it works for budget travelers or people who aren’t on holiday.

I really enjoyed staying here. It’s handy and very nice, with cold beers and good, mature conversation. The staff were friendly, especially the big man from the bar. Keep it up, I’d definitely recommend it.

The conference room was well ventilated and came with a good conference package. They also listen to what customers want, and the service was on point. The space is used really well and the food is amazing. I’d recommend it for private or corporate events. Five stars.

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were neat and clean. The showers, though, were pathetic, and breakfast could use some work. Hard to imagine breakfast without toast. Check-out is at 12 hours. Aabiya lodge is within walking distance of Broadway bus station and the heart of town. Barbeque Nation is very close by.

The TV wasn’t working properly while we were there, so I’ve taken off a star. Otherwise, it’s a quaint little spot tucked away from the city bustle, with clean, well furnished rooms. I’d still recommend it.
