Victoria Falls Backpackers

The shared garden, pool, and fireplace are nice, and the place was fairly clean. But mice were getting into both the dorms and kitchen. I told staff, and nothing was done during the four days I was there. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the wifi was bad.

Ollie, the host, really made the stay. He's the best and helped us with literally everything. Our bus was delayed, and he kept checking in throughout, then picked us up 10 hours later than expected. We also booked a sunset cruise and game drive through him, and both were unforgettable. The hostel itself has great facilities: clean bathrooms, hot showers, a good cafe/bar with tasty food, a refreshing pool, and the most comfortable beds we've found, even in the tent rooms. Thanks for making our stay special 🌞

The staff member who helped most was Blessing. She handled my booking, welcomed me at reception, and was very friendly and helpful. I sent her a list of activities I wanted to do during my four days in Vic Falls, and she put together an itinerary and booked everything. The pool was lovely for a quick dip, and there’s a cute resident dog and several birds wandering around :) The room was small and sparsely furnished, but acceptable for the price, especially given how expensive Vic Falls is. Rooms are close together, so there isn't much privacy and you can hear everything. The cleaner woke me very early. There was no hot water or aircon, and gaps around the door and windows let insects in. Even with the mosquito net, I got bitten all over. I guess that was unavoidable!

The rooms and shared area were really comfortable, and the whole team went above and beyond to make our Victoria falls stay feel magical. They arranged activities and shared recommendations for after our stay too. Thanks for a wonderful visit, I'd highly recommend it!
