Hotel Pyrénées

The staff were very kind and accommodating, and for the price I really had nothing to complain about. The hotel has a beautiful retro style, while the renovated rooms feel fresh. I booked the interior double room, basically a small room without a window. It was still comfortable and pleasant, and since we were skiing, we weren't in the room during the day. If you're not on a budget, a room with a window would be better. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the main bus station, so the L buses can take you to the ski resorts. In the city, walking is easy. Breakfast was okay, but the only egg option was an omelette that was too salty. They should add boiled eggs, and the coffee was pretty bad. It may be better to skip breakfast, buy it at reception, and try it for yourself.

The reception team was very supportive and gave us useful tips for exploring the city. Our room was clean and cozy. Parking wasn't free, at 16€, but it was much cheaper than the usual city parking. We were also allowed to collect the car after checkout, which was convenient.

The swimming pool was a highlight, especially because it was extremely hot during our visit. It was a great place to cool off and relax. The location was excellent too, close to everything we needed for our shopping trip. Breakfast had plenty of choices and suited different tastes. We also had drinks at the bar in the evenings, where the surprisingly reasonable prices were a nice bonus. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended.

The rooms were spotless, and the service was impeccable. We chose an interior room because it was such an amazingly affordable option for a nice hotel, and breakfast was worth adding since the buffet was wonderful. We’d happily stay again. One small warning: from the bus station, take the longer way around. The shorter route goes steeply uphill over cobblestones, and Google Maps got this one wrong, lol.
