Hotel Kalemi 2

The roads up to this part of Gjirokastër are steep and narrow, so getting there can be tricky. We managed in our full-size SUV, though you do need to feel confident driving those streets. The staff helped us park in a way that made the best use of the street space. The hotel itself is excellently located and very comfortable, with a gorgeous room, excellent beds, and a clean bathroom. Everyone was kind and helpful, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our last day. We stayed one night.

We had a great view of the castle from our bedroom window, and the castle is within walking distance. The authentic style room had the usual toiletries and air-conditioning. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. There’s a nice bar at the back, 300 let for .5l korma beer, and plenty of restaurants nearby.

The breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, and everything seemed well maintained. My room had nice decor and a warm, welcoming feel. It was very clean, and the comfortable bed made it easy to relax. I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are wonderful, and the location puts you right in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was just OK and could be better. It works if you like eggs and bread, but that won’t suit everyone. They couldn’t make a pancake, and the standard coffee wasn’t cappuccino.
