Gerd's knowledge of the area's wildlife and history really stood out, and you could tell how much he loves the place. He speaks English, German, and Spanish, and took us on a wonderful 4x4 trip up into the mountains, followed by a hike to the mountain cabin. We finished the day with a delicious patagonian Asado. Estancia La Esperanza was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend the experience.

Gerd and Elio were great, and arranging the full day was easy. Transport, riding, the asado, everything was included, and it felt like excellent value. The estancia is peaceful and beautiful. We spent nearly four hours on horseback across scenic ground, with amazing spots for photos along the way and at the top, then came back to an incredible asado. Such a memorable day, highly recommend!

Gerd was a great host and could answer our questions in German, English, or Spanish. This is really a house rental, not a hotel, and it’s rustic rather than luxurious, but the setting is authentic and beautiful. We had the whole place to ourselves, which felt magical. You can hike on the estancia’s private land, ride horses, or take a dip in the river. If you want quiet and proper time in nature, it’s highly recommended. Stock up on supplies in Bariloche before driving the ripio to the house.

Exploring the ranch on electric enduro mountain bikes was one of my best outings ever. The trails were great and the views took my breath away. We spotted condors and deer, too. Gerardo was both our host and guide, and he's an excellent cyclist and a great person. He took the time to show us all the details of the ranch. Thanks for everything, we’ll be back for more!

Gerardo was so kind and attentive, always making sure guests were comfortable. The cabin has everything you need, and this place is a real nature escape outside the city, with lots to explore and excursions right there. I especially recommend riding to the refuge, on horseback or in a 4x4. It’s a little paradise in Bariloche.
