Hostería Santa Rita

It's a little way out of Bariloche, but there's a quick bus. The lake views are lovely, and there's a rocky beach too.

The location and view are easily the best parts of this hotel. The rest didn't impress me much. The person at reception wasn't very friendly, breakfast had little protein, and the bed and pillows weren't comfortable. Rooms 3, 4, and 5 are directly below the dining room, so expect to hear people walking, moving chairs, and talking when it opens at 7:30. Between the noise and the comfort issues, it wasn't a quiet or relaxing stay, and the rest of the hotel doesn't match the strong location and view.

The scenery really is spectacular, and there are plenty of spots to sit and take it in. The location is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Cleaning and service were good. The rooms, though, don't match what was advertised online. I paid a bit extra expecting better quality, but there were neglected details, old furniture, and poor workmanship. I was assigned room number 6. It has a lovely view from the window, but the room is narrow and the window sits off to the side, so it didn't look like the photos led me to expect. I also expected a better breakfast because they serve afternoon tea, but the quality was very low: awful croissants, bland bread, and extremely poor coffee. Breakfast was basic.
