The cleaning service was probably the one decent part. After staying a week, I asked about getting a refund. The price and location might be what this place has in common with a four-star hotel, because nearly everything else feels stuck in 1990. The street noise was unbearable, the windows were broken, and the floors creaked so loudly you could hear people moving along the hall. I could practically join conversations in the next room through the walls. The beds were worn, the bathroom looked decades old, and the toiletries were cheap sachet shampoo and soap. The air conditioning was past its best, the minibar was empty, and there wasn’t even Wi-Fi. I was on the sixth floor and could hear an event on the eighth. When I complained at 22:30, I was told the owner was having a party and it would go on until 23:30. They wouldn’t change our room. This is two-star quality at best.

The staff were kind and breakfast was good. The location was reasonably convenient, near downtown. Our room was large and comfortable, but the air conditioning and Wi-Fi both had problems. Hot water took about 15 minutes to come through, and the minibar was always empty.

The hotel is fairly priced and handy for central BA, and the staff were friendly. The whole place was clean. Our room was spacious, though the bathroom looked worn and due for an overhaul. Wi-Fi was frustrating because it wouldn’t reconnect on its own. The restaurant was closed while we were there for updating work.
