Monserrat Apart Hotel

The rooms were comfortable, and reception were attentive and friendly. The location is very handy, with a bakery, fruit shop, laundry, bus stops, and metro stations nearby. Breakfast was sparse and didn’t make for a healthy meal.

Fine for the price, but the wifi only worked in the entrance, not in the room. The continental breakfast was very basic: coffee, milk, orange juice, toast, croissants, and Dulce de leche, with no eggs. The fruit was old, and there’s nothing special about the surroundings.

Buenos Aires was full of friendly people, and we loved our time at Monserrat Apart Hotel on Salta 560. My wife and I, from South Africa, stayed from 28 December 2018 to 2 January 2019 and enjoyed every day. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Special thanks to Nicholas, who made us even more comfortable. We love this place and Argentina, and hope to see you again. Highly recommended to people from anywhere.

We filed a police report after $480 went missing from an envelope in my bag at Monserrat Apart Hotel. We stayed March 3rd to 5th. I had put $820 in $20 bills in the envelope, which stayed in my luggage in the room the whole time. We didn't use the safe, but never expected theft inside the hotel. On March 5th I noticed my purse and bag had been moved, so the money was probably taken on March 4th. The manager kept saying it was impossible and wouldn't listen or investigate. He didn't question staff or check the cameras, and blamed us for not using the safe, saying the hotel wasn't responsible if we lost something. That attitude was really irritating. The money is gone, and I hope the police solve the case soon. I wanted to warn the manager that guests' valuables may not be safe because of a staff problem, but he wouldn't listen.
